Fabric, commercial and hand dyed

I work in my home studio. I dye much of my fabric but also use commercially made fabrics. I tend to work in series to expand on ideas. My pieces are extensively stitched on my home sewing machine. These art quilts are for hanging on walls.

My work is primarily based on inspiration from my time in nature or an interest in the interaction of line, shape, and color. Either way, I begin each piece with a general idea of subject and get clarity as I progress. Both intuition and curiosity take me to a final piece of art.
